Stormy Weather

This is the first thing I seen when I came up from the basement.

I could not figure out where this black vent thing came from.

After going outside I figured out it was the bbq grill blown to the end of the
deck & blown over. This is the bottom of it.
Everything was next to the brick wall.
Then I seen my van & part of the yard:

This is our back yard.

Saturday Treasure Hunts

The girls & I have been hunting for treasures.

We spotted this one before we left our road

A little town was having a city wide sale...
We did pretty well there.

Some plastic containers & books


Another book, binders & toys for the grandchildren (dd-11 says "hey, I'm still a child")


A big toy for the g'children although Sarah did take this one for a spin
a couple of times.
I guess I should let her take a few more...she did ask the man if he would
take less, which he did. We picked that up for $1.
The g'children are loving these moving, singing stuffed animals &
we have found several.


Some home pretties

Sandals, books, notepads, cd & a dvd that Sarah wanted, it is shrink wrapped brand new & she asked if they would take less...got that for $1 too.

Crafty Tuesday

Finally I found a craft I could do.
So perfect for me...easy :)
& uses stickers...one of my favorite things.
I was looking at my Christmas soaps thinking I could change that &
then I found this idea from this blog:


So I did this Valentine one:


Sarah & I made another one for her teacher's valentine card but
since we added the card & ribbon before the bus came we didn't get any pictures.
Now I made this one:


It's crafty Tuesday

My treasure chest

Look what's coming down our road

Wow, that looks big

Look how long that is, lots & lots of room

Finally a place for all my "treasures"
Since we've moved here I have not had an attic that I could store stuff in,
nor a garage. I do have a partial basement. It is mostly finished with
some storage that was overflowing into the living areas.
We have an old dairy barn & a machine shed but those places we discovered
did not safely store my treasures.
Hopefully this new place will keep out the varmints, mud dabbers, animals & the
weather.
So far the only thing I need to be careful of is the heat.
That means no candles unless I want to melt the wax,
no pictures & I do wonder about wood, like furniture.

So that's what I've been up to lately in my spare time,
packing up & moving out.

Is it Spring?

I guess not...


These were so beautiful in full bloom.
The temps had been in the 60's to 70's &
then the cold came back with some snow.

Well here's hoping these will bloom & last longer
